With a family heritage in Arizona, Colorado, and Oklahoma, many of these pieces are from our own collection. In addition, we travel to the Southwest several times a year & make large direct purchases.

Many items are old and have beautiful stories and journeys behind them.  There is a spiritual connection and past in each piece and we respect each of them.

My mother’s side of the family lived out west between Colorado and Oklahoma and their neighbors and adopted families were Native Americans. My great grandfather collected rocks and stones around the Pikes Peak to Colorado Springs area and loved to tumble them until they were smooth. He often traded them with the Native Americans for many treasures. I remember many pieces of Native American pottery and jewelry that my grand parents had that have been passed down to me.

My mother still lives in the Grand Canyon area and we have been lucky to still have many adopted Native American families in our lives. Many of them I work with today and you will find their work in my store. I send back a portion of our earnings to help the families build hogans.

Some of the pieces that you find in our store are from our private collection of vintage pieces. We also travel to the Southwest 4 or 5 a year and buy directly from the artists or well known traders.
